A matcha workshop is a hands-on experience where you learn how to properly prepare and enjoy matcha. You’ll be guided through the basics, including how to choose quality matcha, how much to use, the right water temperature, and how to whisk it smoothly without bitterness or lumps.
You’ll see, smell, and taste matcha prepared in different ways, and practice making your own bowl. You’ll learn what affects flavour, texture, and how matcha feels in the body compared to coffee.
We’ll also cover how matcha is made—from seasonal harvesting and stone milling to proper storage—so you understand what affects freshness, flavour, and colour. The workshop includes a clear discussion of today’s matcha market, what’s changing, and what to watch for when buying matcha so you can make informed choices.
No prior experience is needed. The workshop is relaxed, practical, and focused on helping you leave confident in choosing, preparing, and enjoying good matcha at home.
